Footloose (2011) (PG-13): 10/29/11
This remake of the original world-famous motion picture was surpirisingly very good. The dancing and the singing was fantastic, and the acting was as well. Up and coming actor, Kenny Wormald stars as Ren, and singer/actress, Julianne Hough stars as Ariel. A few other members of the cast include Dennis Quaid and Andie MacDowell, as well as Miles Teller. You would think that this remake is really cheesy, but I can guarantee you that it will be money well-spent. General Rating: 4 out of 5 ****

Contagion (PG-13): 9/25/11
Contagion was actually very accurate in the way it portrayed most of the organizations involved in this movie. These include the Center for Disease Control and even the World Health Organization. It also showed just how powerful the government is when it comes to major issues like the pandemic portrayed in this film. This movie also showed how the human instinct of self-preservation will kick in when we are pushed to our limits as a human race, which I myself find rather interesting. Contagion took place in many major urban areas around the globe including Tokyo, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Chicago, Geneva, London, Macau, Paris, and Atlanta where the CDC is located. The actors also put on a fantastic performance as well. With all these Oscar-winning names like Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, and Jude Law, you just can't go wrong! It is 50/50 when it comes to buying or renting. General Rating: 4 out of 5 stars ****

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (PG-13): 8/26/11
This prequel to the original Apes series back in the late 1960s is just amazing PERIOD. It just couldn't have been better. It may have been sort of long and heavy at some parts this movie was just an edge-of-your-seat action/adventure flick that will obtain its rightful place in the list of classics. Set fire to your 20 dollar bill or go use it to buy this movie. General Rating: 4 out of 5 ****

Final Destination 5 (R): 8/18/11
Now just a little spoiler alert, this movie contains extreme scenes of so-called freak accidents that would considered over-the-top disgusting and gut-wrenching so much, they would certainly not enjoy this movie at all. This movie shows eyes getting etched by lasers, heads getting squashed by giant statues, and bodies getting sliced in half by metal roofing panels and airplane wings. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE UNLESS YOU CAN HANDLE THIS MUCH GORE!! Other than that, this movie had great scenes filled with suspense and terror. Great movie for horror movie fans! However, more of a rental. General rating: 3 out of 5 ***

FWB: Friends With Benefits (R): 7/28/11
This movie was actually not as romantic as you would expect, but contained more comedy which was a nice twist to the movie. This movie depicts two new friends who both drunkenly agree that there shouldn't be so much emotion to sex, and then agree they should sex emotion-free and still be friends. This movie is very similar to the movie No Strings Attached released earlier this year. This movie was still better, including the fact that both the stars have a very comedic resume. With Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, you will just constantly be laughing. This movie also co-stars Richard Jenkins, Emma Stone, Andy Samberg, and a cameo with Shaun White, the all-star snowboarder. This movie was great, trust me, but still seems like a rental. Watch out for little kids like probably under 14, otherwise you'll have some explaining to do... to them. :(( Oh yeah! Almost forgot! General Rating: 4 out of 5 ****

Transformers: Dark Of the Moon (PG-13): 7/23/11
This third epic and speculated-to-be final chapter of the amazing based on this simple Hasbro toys was an awesome, action-packed, almost three hour motion picture with a new damsel in distress at every turn. This movie casts Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, and up-and-coming star Rosie Huntington-Whitely scripted as LaBeouf's character, Sam Witwicky's, new girlfriend. (Sorry Megan Fox!) This movie is extremely difficult for the writers of those Fandango synopis, being the most enigmatic film I have seen since Inception. I see my future... at Best Buy... BUYING THIS MOVIE! General Rating: ****

Horrible Bosses (R): 7/8/11
This movie was so fun to watch! I don't know how else to start! This movie had great stars and co-stars, and the acting and script were perfectly written. With stars Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis, and co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, Colin Ferrell, and Jamie Foxx, you can't go wrong with all these comedic stars! You could buy it...or rent it. General Rating: 4 out of 5 ****
Bad Teacher (R): 6/26/11
Bad Teacher was funnier than I expected. It wasn't a five star, but what comedy has to be? The point is that it will make you laugh your ass off! That's why I give this one 4 out of 5 ****
